This time around I talk about the recent tragedy and death of a dear brother in Christ and a fellow Patriot, the late Charlie Kirk. I talk about my return to the internet, why I have been gone, how our words have meaning and effects.
As a young man in an ever-changing world the internet has become for me more of a burden than blessing lately. All we ever see on the news is how bad everything is getting. More death, more debt, and more evil. As someone who has been a creator across many platforms over the years I have been in the thick of all of it. Recently over the past couple of years, I would say just after COVID, I started to really burn out on all the bad news. You know the saying, we are a product of what we listen to or at least that we are affected by what we take in. I started to let this negative news and evil weigh heavily on my mind and heart.
I went from posting almost twice a day across my social media platforms to not posting at all. Most of my content is about Jesus, Agriculture, and Automobiles. I never realized until recently that posting and expressing my views on those things is my passion… especially Jesus. In a way this made my life and mindset even worse as I went from being “In The Fight” to now sidelining myself and becoming only a consumer of the content that caused me to burn out in the first place. You could say I let Satan win. However, recently in the past couple months the Lord Jesus has been calling me as He always has been, to make a return. This, also in part with the death of Charlie Kirk really started to weigh heavily on my Heart, Soul, and Mind. I am reminded of the letter that our Brother Paul writes to our Brother Timothy in 2 Timothy.
2 Timothy 2 is titled A Good Soldier Of Christ Jesus. Paul talks about how we are to endure hard trials and difficulties. Just as he has endured and suffered for the faith. (2 Timothy 2:8-13) I like how in verses 11-12 Paul says “The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him” This got me thinking of Charlie Kirk. What he suffered for and what we might have to suffer for.
I didn’t know about what had happened until later in the day when someone told me that Charlie was killed. It rocked me pretty hard as I was a daily viewer of Charlie’s content on Instagram and sometimes YouTube. I very much so enjoyed Him and the way he talked so boldly about his faith and the defense of our freedom in America. I then began to think about why he died and I realized it was all because of the words he spoke. I then thought of the reason our Lord Jesus was crucified, for words He spoke and the actions He performed. Just like back then people don’t want their sin to be exposed, they want to hide away in the dark and be their own Gods. The stories perfectly line up across the board from beginning to end. The reason the saints are persecuted is because of the words we speak against Satan and his kingdom. This aligns with what the Bible and Paul talk about on so many occasions.
That there very well will be suffering in this world if we go against the ruler of this world, Satan. Jesus can and does protect us all day, every day otherwise we would all be dead if Satan had it his way. This got me thinking of my own life and how so much fulfillment is found in spreading the Truth of Jesus and standing for Freedom from a Christian perspective. I must return and stand for Truth and Freedom, For Jesus, for our past brothers and sisters in Christ, and for our future Children. I got to thinking of that idea “I let Satan win”…. I don’t like that very much and it is up to me to change that. Life is very hard at times and Satan is always hot on our heels. But Jesus reminded me of something, He has already won and is with me every second of every day.
Now you might be thinking, “Well, why did God let Charlie Kirk get killed?” This is a valid question that is too complicated to answer or understand. Remember that God knows everything about the future, present, and past. God has to allow certain things to take place in order for other things to happen. Everything in life requires some sort of action for another action to take place. If Charlie’s death meant more people coming to know Jesus for eternity. Or more people to start openly proclaiming Christ, God could allow such things to happen as He did. There is obviously an infinite amount more that could be explained behind the actions of God and we would only discover .0000001 % of these actions, they are infinite.
As I watched the internet mourn over Charlie I remembered something. I will get to see Charlie again in Heaven because his soul is sealed by Jesus. Anyone who watched or listened to his content knows that Charlie was a real born-again believer that relied on the blood of Christ alone for salvation. As I said in the video and I will say on here. If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone we will get not only to see Charlie but many of the Bible prophets, scholars, and of course most important of all, Our Loving Lord Jesus. I can’t wait for that amazing day!
Another thought that crossed my mind is how much our words and actions matter. Our words are a form of our actions and vice versa. The Bible says in Luke 6:45 “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.“ This along with many other verses remind us that our words do matter as they can have massive affects on the environment and people around us. Because of the words Jesus spoke against the Jews of that day, He was crucified. In the same way because of the words Charlie Kirk spoke against evil, he was killed for it.
All of this being said, our key takeaways should be this. When Satan tries to defeat you remember Jesus has already won and is alive risen from the grave. Stay in the Fight. We will get to see our brothers and sisters in Christ again and our actions or words have serious effects on the people and world around us.
As Always, May The Lord Jesus Bless Ya!!!
